Few days ago I’ve installed my first CMS and the chosen one was Joomla!
It’s great program with nice administration panel with many options (some may say too many ).
After clicking here and there I realized there wasn’t any form of discussion out of the box and I started looking for some plugin that enables writing comments. At the next day I decided I needed something more powerful… something like phpBB3. It tuned out that there is a nice Joomla1.5 Bridge for phpBB3.0 that enables integration of phpBB3. The main idea is to make the forum to use the Joomla’s users table.
And now the problem: there were many people (and me too) that install the bridge and it’s not working.

Hello, thanks for the great bridge! I have one question however, everything is installed correctly and new users to Joomla are added to phpbb. But users are not logged in to phpbb when they log in through Joomla.

If the users logs into both Joomla and phpbb separately and then logs out through Joomla – they will be logged out of phpbb.

What do I need to do to get the logins to sync?

От известно време поддържам няколко форума и макар да са на различни теми, всички имат един и същи раздел: забава / fun / off-topic или нещо от сорта.
Напоследък все по-често в този раздел (и не само) се появяват линкове към клипчета в YouTube.
Досадното е, че phpBB3 не поредоставя начин за показването на клипчетата директно във форума и желаещите да ги видят трябва да кликнат на линка и да отворят YouTube.
Ето как реших проблема за моите форуми:

Къде ми е дизайнът?!

Каква ирония… точно за откриването си блогът ми остана гол…

Зад всичко това стои идеята за популяризиране на уеб стандартите. Елегантно и просто благодарение на правилната употреба на (x)html, meta-тагове, css, добра йерархична структура и разбира се игра на думи.

Това е 3та година на инициативата CSS Naked Day. Оставянето на страницата гола ще помогне да се оцени работата на уеб дизайнерите, благодарение на които сайтовете и блоговете ни изглеждат толкова добре. Това е повод и да се напомнят предимствата на употребата на CSS в дизайна на страниците, правейки ги достъпни за повече хора, използващи различни средства за достъп до тях.
